I came across pico.sh today. I found it very interesting. Unix philosophy at its core!
I was teaching a young student about command-line and thinking about what else I can do and I came across this. Now, I can teach a lot of unix stuff through pico.sh. With simple unix commands and files, now the students can build and manage their blog.
I also found related services - prose.sh and pastes.sh also very interesting.
The developer experience is awesome and there is nothing but pure unix! Simplicity at its core!!
While the developer experience is very nice, I wonder if this service can be sustainable for long. While it is very exciting for hobby developers, I'm not sure if anybody would be willing to bet on it for hosting commercial services.
After all, this is wonderful service to add a nice flavour to my teachings of unix and command-line.
